Alicia Mullikin

Alicia Mullikin is a first generation Mexican-American dance artist, educator, community organizer, and founder of EL SUEÑO. Her work weaves ancient and contemporary identities into physical manifestations by drawing from her rich cultural experiences and deep-rooted ancestral ties. Through all of her work, Alicia aims to empower historically marginalized communities and nurture the next generation of dance artists. As an educator with an M.A. in dance, Alicia engages in community dialogue and curriculum development to create more culturally relevant and equitable educational systems. Tessa Bañales

Tessa Bañales (she/her), a Persian, Mexican American movement artist, and collaborator based in Seattle, WA. Tessa currently is a Stage Manager in theaters around Seattle, and is the Co-Artistic Director of PRICEarts N.E.W. Dance Company. Tessa works towards representing and empowering the communities around her, and bringing those stories to the forefront. She chooses to engage with companies like EL SUEÑO that aim to bring art and empowerment to marginalized communities. As a dancer in EL SUEÑO Tessa was able to mix her passion with her knowledge of backstage and dance to call attention to the stories of our past and the dreams for our future.

Devin Muñoz

Devin Muñoz is a dancer and multimedia artist based in the greater Seattle area. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cornish College of the Arts in 2017, her work has been showcased in various performances around Seattle, including the premiere of the Seattle-based dance company El Sueño, and most recently, "These have bones; I’ve carried" for The Bridge Project 2023 by Nicole Cardona. Devin's multidisciplinary, community-based approach to capturing movement has led her to collaborate with a variety of local artists and businesses in the Pacific Northwest, such as TomboyX, PRICEarts, and KaisaFit to bring their vision to life. Devin aims to create purposeful archives for reflection and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Elise Walker

Elise Walker fell in love with dance at the age of three. As a young adult she performed in two seasons of Seattle’s The Black Nativity from 2009-2010 – spending 2009 working with the late Kabby Mitchell III before completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington.

In the summer of 2016, Elise attended the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago intensive to further develop her choreographic process. She is honored to be a part of Luna Nueva and looks forward to sharing her love of creativity with this community.

Dance collective

 Primera Generación Dance Collective (PGDC) is a collaborative group based in L.A./ Riverside, California, and formed by four First Generation Mexican American artists: Alfonso Cervera, Rosa Rodriguez-Frazier, Irvin Manuel Gonzalez, and Patricia "Patty" Huerta. Focusing on the visibilization of Mexican American corporeality, loss, and joy through movement-based exploration, process, and performance, PGDC grounds their works in rasquachismo (resourcefulness), generating works that speak to their brown, working-class experiences. Rodrick Barnes

Rodrick Barnes is a Junior at Cornish College of The Arts. He has been dancing since he was 7 years old. He graduated from Kinder High School For The Performing and Visual Arts. Rodrick has worked and trained with Janie Carethors, Roderick George, Debbie Allen, Gage self, Justin Prescott, Kim Kelly, Harrison Guy, Derrell Moultrie, Michael Foley, Christian Warner, Elijah Gibson, Chip Abbott, Michelle Manzanales,Crystal Pite, Kurt Douglas, Maya Taylor, Sidra Bell, Zackary Tang, Ben Delony, Courtney D. Jones and many more. Rodrick won a Tomy Tune Award for best choreography in The Color Purple with Courtney D. Jones. He is also excited to continue his journey at Cornish College of the Arts.

Lisa Kwak

Lisa Kwak (Duwamish Land, Seattle, WA) has danced works by Camille A. Brown, Etienne Cakpo, Gary Champi, Leslie Kraus, Rachael Lincoln, Noelle Price, David Rousseve, Zoe Scofield, Shapiro & Smith, Katy Tabb, dani tirrell, Alex Ung, Ebony Williams, and Dr. S Ama Wray, among others. A 2021 Village Theatre Northwest Creator Resident, Lisa's creations have been presented at Strictly Seattle Dance Festival, PRICEarts InSHOP, and Velocity Dance Center's PORTALS. Amy J Lambert | AJnC

Amy J Lambert is a Seattle-based dance artist who playfully choreographs and directs in the realms of theater and concert dance. She recieve a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts and is an active dance maker, producer, and dance educator. She is the director and choreographer for AJnC Dance-Theater and her work received critical acclaim as she “creates works that masterfully blend the beautiful physicality of dance and the playful absurdity of theater...” (SeattleDances). Mei Enoki

Mei Enoki is a Junior at Seattle Academy High School where she serves as a Junior class representative and Advanced Dance captain. The dance she will be performing was created in response to the tragic shooting at Ingraham High School. Mei says, “I created this dance as a way to demonstrate unity in this difficult time. I hope this video sparks deeper conversation about mental health and gun violence."
